Review: Mixed Wrestling Session with Warrior Amazon and Iron Phoenix
In early January, I had an exhilarating and unforgettable session with two incredible athletes: Warrior Amazon and Iron Phoenix—a remarkable duo combining strength, skill, and beauty. Warrior weighed in at 77 kg, while Iron Phoenix was slightly lighter at 70.5 kg. Both delivered solid performances in our strength tests, showing consistent results with previous encounters. Warrior had an edge in lower-body strength, while Iron may be marginally stronger in the upper body.
We began with arm wrestling, where I initially won all solo and simultaneous matches against them—both right and left-handed. However, when they combined their strength—two right hands against one of mine—they eventually prevailed, albeit after a 30-second struggle. Leg wrestling saw me victorious as well, winning narrowly against Warrior and comfortably against Iron. In a final strength test resembling a rugby-style push, I managed to overpower both together (my 110 kg against their combined 147.5 kg) after an initial stalemate.
Then came the intense wrestling rounds. Facing Warrior first, I found myself constantly under pressure. Though I prevented a submission, she clearly outscored me on points. Wrestling her was an exhausting and humbling experience.
Next was Iron Phoenix, whom I had defeated easily in the past thanks to my size and strength. But this time, she had improved dramatically. It was a fierce back-and-forth, and though I had moments of control, I couldn’t submit her. It ended in a well-deserved draw.
In a second round with Warrior, things got even more intense. She nearly submitted me with an armbar and only stopped upon hearing a concerning crunch—thankfully demonstrating her professionalism by releasing immediately. I awarded her the point without hesitation. It highlighted how dangerous things can get when ego overrides respect. The round concluded 1-0 in her favor—an outcome I accepted with both respect and satisfaction.
We finished with one last round with Iron, which ended in another 0-0 draw, though perhaps I had a slight edge. Her improvement was undeniable.
Final Thoughts: This session was a mix of challenge, fun, and eye-opening moments. Warrior Amazon is not only a powerhouse but a true professional, and Iron Phoenix has grown immensely as a fighter. I may have size and basic strength, but their technique and experience clearly shone through. It's not about just raw power—it's about respect, learning, and acknowledging skill. A fantastic experience all around.
