Review of Semi-Competitive Wrestling Session with Andrea Rosu
I recently had the opportunity to book a semi-competitive wrestling session with Andrea Rosu during her visit to Los Angeles, and the experience exceeded expectations.
Booking and Communication:
The setup process was smooth and professional. Andrea requires potential clients to answer a few questions and provide references—which she verifies—but overall, the process was straightforward. Communication was prompt and clear throughout.
The Session:
The session took place in her hotel room. While it didn't offer ample space or mats, we made do wrestling on the floor with a comforter. Despite the lack of a mat, it worked out fine.
At 6'4" and around 300 lbs, I was significantly larger than Andrea. That said, she impressed me with her strength, control, and skill. Her headlocks and chokes were notably powerful—escaping them took effort, and sometimes wasn’t possible. Her front scissors were especially intense, with steadily increasing pressure that left me light-headed before tapping. What stood out was how effortlessly she applied these holds, showing no visible strain.
Andrea’s wrestling technique is sharp—she moves fluidly, is very flexible, and seems to anticipate her opponent’s movements well. At one point, I unintentionally put all my weight on her in a tabletop position, and she supported me without issue, showcasing her strength. She also adds a fun layer of trash talk, which added to the playful competitiveness of the session.
Overall Experience:
This semi-comp match leaned more toward defending against her than putting her in holds, but that says more about her skill and control than the structure of the match. Andrea is not only tough and skilled but also personable and fun to work with. I highly recommend her—she’s both a powerhouse and a sweetheart.
